September 2018 Wrap Up! // I’m back y’all *evil laugh*

Hey everyone! I’mmm bacccckkk *ish* That’s right. Your gal is alive *ish*. I’m so excited that October is now upon us and autumn is finally here! But that means September is over and we’re moving closer to the end of 2018!

Wow I’ve already forgotten how I do these wrap ups without making it a disaster 😂 I usually do just a book wrap up, but today I’m gonna shake things up. Y’all are getting an everything book related wrap up/update *yay*

Here we gooooooo

DISCLAIMER: As usual these are my personal opinions. And I definitely do not mean to offend anyone in any shape or form.

DISCLAIMER 2: These books are not listed in any “favorite to least favorite” ways. It’s actually the order I read them in.

So in the month of September I read a total of *drumroll 🥁* 4 BOOKS!

I might not have read a lot of books this month, but I sure did read some amazing ones. Quality over quantity am I right?

Also quick question. In my future wrap ups, do y’all want me to share my rating (out of 5 stars) for each book?

1. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Wow. So I had put off reading this book for so long, but let me just say that I wish I didn’t. This book wasn’t a 5 star read for me, but it was really good. The Dregs (or Kaz Brekker’s crew) are amazing!

2. Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

[Reread] If you haven’t read this book, go read it right now. Like stop, drop, and roll to your local bookstore 😂 I know some people had problems with this book, but I really really enjoy this series (aka please give it a chance!)

3. Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco

Holy 🦀 So much stuff went down in this amazing story. I can’t believe I have to wait a  year for the next book. Kerri Maniscalco is the queen of writing these mystery/romance/thriller/idk what genre books! I swear if you haven’t read this book or series yet, please do.

4. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I can’t believe I’m already done with this duology! This book was definitely better than SoC (in my opinion). I don’t want to leave The Dregs/Kaz Brekker’s gang 😭 And let’s not forget to mention that right after I finished this book, I emotionally died and cried for like a solid 5 mins. Thanks Leigh Bardugo (can I have my heart back in the next 48 hours?)

Other random updates:

I am currently working on a couple of posts (for this blog) right now. Like if I moved down a couple of tabs on my computer, you’ll find the I Dare You tag, the sunshine blogger award #2, and the September song playlist post. I should get most of them out by the end of this week, but I can’t promise anything (y’all should know that 😅)

For my bookstagram, I reached 300 followers! So thank you so much to all the lovely people that I have met on instagram 💞 (I don’t think anyone that I’ve met has visited my blog lmao 😂). Anywho, I have a lot of fun taking my pics so yay! If you haven’t already checked out my bookstagram, please do here or @day_dreamer394 (a little shameless self promotion)

*insert awkward wink*

Do I have any other bookish update? Uhhh I don’t think so (ugh why is my life so boring 😂)

Let’s Talk!

What books did you read in September? Which was your favorite?

What books do you plan on reading in October?

What are you looking forward to in October?

Well this is the end of this disastrous wrap up post 😂 Thank you to everyone who is still supportive of me (I honestly don’t know why y’all are because I’m low key the worst, but I love you all very much). I’ve got to get back to my math homework now, but I hope to chat with y’all later! I hope you have a good day or night 💗

  1. Four books during school months is soo incredible! I’ve only read 1.5 books and 1 short story. And one of the books, as well as the short story was required reading for school haha Also school is taking up a lot of my time too 😦 Wishing you a great month 🙂

    1. Lol that’s true! Honestly I would be happy if I squished in 1 book. But ya, I forgot to include the books from my AP history class and english class 😂 School is basically consuming my life.
Thank you lovely! I wish you an amazing month as well! 💞

  2. 300 followers!? Wow, if I had an instagram I’d totally be one of them 😉
I’m sooooo excited it’s fall/autumn/October!!! Cozy sweaters, cups of tea, really good books 😀
Okay, I know this is super unrelated, but honestly you’re one of the most honest and sweet bloggers I’ve seen.
I love your posts so much, but it’s okay if you don’t post all the time, because it can add so much pressure. I’m glad that you put so much effort and love into the posts that you write; it makes them so much more fun and interesting to read 🙂
I’m only saying this because it seems like you’re stressed about posting all of the time/consistently. Don’t worry!! The blogosphere is supportive no matter how often you post, and we love you ❤

  3. All I know is I better be picking up SoC and Stalking Jack the Ripper soon because you’re making me want to read them SO BADLY! Lol did I ever tell you I actually have an ARC of Stalking Jack the Ripper that I got back in 2014? And I never read it??? 🙃 WHY DO I MAKE POOR DECISIONS. Ugh I will read it soon though (and hopefully the rest of the series) and we can talk about it!!😄

CONGRATS ON 300 BOOKSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS!! Yaaay! Your account is growing so fast!! Also every time you link to your account I click on it and I’m like AH ITS SO PRETTY😍 and WAIT whoa whoa whoa you’re reading Strange the Dreamer right now?? KAT ME TOO! I’m really excited about this!! I love an accidental buddy read lol😂

Ahh this was such a great wrap up! And I’ll look forward to your upcoming posts… but please don’t stress too much about getting them up if you’re busy! I’ll always be here to support you and your blog 🙂
    Happy October Kat!! 💕

    1. HAHA! Yes do it Brianna. Stop drop and rolllll 😂 And you didn’t tell me, but we discussed it because you mentioned it in one your posts! I AGREE, YOU MAKE POOR DECISIONS 😂 But ya, when you *cough finally cough cough* read it, I’ll be ready to discuss it with you 😁

AHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH BRIANNA! The process is kind of tedious though. It’s the constant follow/unfollow. Tbh I don’t care about the numbers, but it’s super annoying how people follow just to unfollow. But I love my account and all the kind people I’ve met, so the process is worth it 🙃
AND YES I AM (goodreads and here is an amazing place to “stalk” people 😂) ACCIDENTAL READING BUDDIES ARE AMAZING! What page are you on?

Thank you so much for all your kindness and support Brianna 💞 It’s so nice to know that I’ll at least have one supporter at the end of the day. And I hope you know that I’ll also always be here to support you and your blog as well (even though I might not be posting as often). Happy October to you too Brianna 💗

      1. I feel like I’ll probably (hopefully? maybe?) get to Stalking Jack the Ripper before the end of the year. Every time anyone talks about it I’m like IM MISSING OUTTT. Lol I couldn’t remember if I told you that one of those ARCs I got was this book but it was and I 100% regret not reading it AHH.

Ugh the follow/unfollow thing is so annoying and rude. I don’t get it. But yesss just keep in mind that it’s not about the numbers, but about the community and having fun with the pictures and the BOOKS😍

LOLLL I totally stalked your insta and found out you were reading Strange the Dreamer which lead me to stalking your GR to see where you were in the book. This sounds creepy HAHAH I’m just so excited. I’m on page like 100 something? 130? I don’t have the book with me rn so I don’t remember lol😂

Aw thank you!! And of course, no matter how much or how little you post, I’ll still be here!! 💕

      2. You better (no pressure haha). LOL I remember; you and your adventures to the NYC barnes and noble WHERE THEY WERE GIVING OUT FREE BOOKS *I cry*

It is super annoying and rude. As much as we all don’t want to pay attention to the numbers and whatnot, it still toys with your mind a bit. But like we both said, the community and books are what makes it amazing and fun.

LOLL I do the same thing! I’ll occasionally stalk a few people 😂 But don’t worry, you’re not the first to stalk my goodreads or instagram. My best friend does it all the time (ok that just sounds wrong and weird 😂) SO don’t worry about sounding creepy cuz honestly it’s not *ish*
OMG?!?! Already on page 100-130!?!? I’m only on page 60 lol. I’ll have to catch up so we chat about it.

And thank you and you’re welcome! I’m honestly so happy that your amazing blog is growing. I can’t wait to see where things go 💞
